B: Okay. Let's take a look at it. Let me grab a... Okay. Where is the problem?
A: Yeah, this is my car and I have a scratch here-right here on a front bumper.
B: Okay.
A: I don't know if I should do the painting job or just changed the whole bumper, or...
B: Well, this we could repair. This is kind of minor. What I would do is take the bumper off, so I can paint the entire bumper, get paint on all the edges.
You have a little mark on you fender here, too, and a little dent. So I would probably repair this...
A: What about this right here? Like, this thing sticks out.
B: That's the fender liner. Once we take these parts off and fix, that'll go right back in. So, what I'm gonna do is repair this area, paint it, and then put a clear coat on it, fix the dent here.
We'll paint this, and then we'll clear coat the entire panel. I just need to get your VIN number off the car. Okay, and that'll tell me what parts I need for to fix...
A: So, it's not gonna cost as much as replacing the whole bumper, right?
B: Oh, a lot less expensive.
A: A lot less expensive. Okay, cool.
B: Okay, come on inside.
A: Alright.
B: Okay, let me just have you put your name, address, and phone number right there, please. Okay, We'll move to my computer here.
A: How long will it take to finish the job?
B: The job will take approximately three days. What year is your car?
A: I think it's 2004.
B: Okay.
A: Can I use my insurance to pay that?
B: If your-who is your insurance company?

B: Who is your insurance company?
A: Geico.
B: Okay. Geico writes their own estimates. We can honor their estimate, you just take it to them. They'll write the estimate, then you bring their estimate here and we'll handle anything from there. If there's any hidden damages, we deal with Geico directly.
A: Okay.
B: Okay. Here's the estimate. The total would be $481.92. And that'll be repairing the bumper and the fender, painting it, clear coating it. Color will be just like it was before.
A: Okay, so you won't-I won't be able to distinguish...
B: Won't-you won't be able to tell.
A: Okay, cool. So this would be done in three days, you said, right?
B: Yup, but if you need it faster, I'll see what I can do.
A: Or, can I pick it up later than-if you guys are...
B: Yeah, sure.
A: Okay. What is that-those paintings for?
B: Those are overall painting. That's for panting an entire car. Like, if you had an older car. The brand new car, you wanna use factory-quality paint to match everything up.
A: Oh, so I wouldn't do that on a new car?
B: No, no.
A: Alright, cool. So, $481.92. So, for the insurance again, I show this to the insurance and then...
B: No. They'll actually write their own estimate. You don't need to show them this.

B: Yes.

B: Correct.
A: Alright, got it. Do I need to sign anything?
B: Nope, you can keep that.
A: Okay. So I leave my keys here, and then just pick it up after I get a call from you?
B: Yes.
A: About three days? Alright, got it. Alright, thank you very much.
